Savannah Auer did have a current site at the time she requested the rebuild, however, she requested the new site have a totally different look and feel than her current site. Based on this information, I started the project off with some branding design for her new look. Working with Savannah, we chose a color pallet, some brand fonts, and created a new logo for her to use. After we had the basic branding figured out, I moved into Figma to create some basic wire fames for the different pages on her site.
Design
After I was happy with the state of the wireframes for the site, I complied photos and content from Savannah's current website, as well as her Instagram page, to be used on the new site. I wanted the site to be graphics heavy, but in a subtle way. Savannah had stated she wanted the feel of the site to be moody and on the darker side, shade and tone wise.
Final Product
As previously stated, this website was created using Wix. I applied the information in the manor I had outlined in my wireframes, and then went to work designing and making sure the site was compliant with the event branding I had been provided with. The PVRW advised me that the theme was western and the event was taking place at a local ranch, so I wanted to incorporate different elements of the typical west to reflect this. The final site is a three page site, including the home page, the event page, and a sponsorship page. The site is easy to follow, clearly states the desired information, and makes it easy for users to purchase tickets to the event or become a sponsor.
