Buckle Up & Ride the Red Wave
Website Design & Build

Buckle Up & Ride the Red Wave is a political event taking place in November or 2022. This event was put on by the Palo Verde Republican Women, a local organization in Scottsdale, Arizona. They wanted a website for this event where potential attendees can view information about the event, purchase tickets, and become a sponsor of the event.
Planning & Wire-Framing
Typically for a project such as this, I would have begun by designing some branding for the event, creating a logo for it, choosing some fonts, etc. However, I was asked to pick this project up after a previous designer had already begun working on it, so I was provided with the logo and branding from the start. From here, I used Figma to do some wire framing and to plan the layout of the different site pages.
Design
For this particular project, the Palo Verde Republican Women (PVRW) had already set up a site space on Wix, so that is the platform I used to create their site. This was one of the first times I had used Wix, so I did not create any strict mock-ups for the site. Instead, I created a mood board with the help of the event branding materials, as well as ideas from the PVRW website to guide me as I designed and set up the page. The goal of this site is to push the sale of tickets to the event, as well as to push the user to sponsor the event.

Final Product
As previously stated, this website was created using Wix. I applied the information in the manor I had outlined in my wireframes, and then went to work designing and making sure the site was compliant with the event branding I had been provided with. The PVRW advised me that the theme was western and the event was taking place at a local ranch, so I wanted to incorporate different elements of the typical west to reflect this. The final site is a three page site, including the home page, the event page, and a sponsorship page. The site is easy to follow, clearly states the desired information, and makes it easy for users to purchase tickets to the event or become a sponsor.
