Soul Café
Website Redesign & Build
Soul Cafe is a local restaurant in Scottsdale, AZ, that updated their website following their recent remodeling and rebranding. For this project, I was tasked with redesigning and building the website so that the personality and ambiance of the restaurant is well represented online. Their website was outdated and it was difficult to find the information users most often need.

Wire-Framing
Some aspects of the website the I had to include are the restaurants name, location, business hours, and their menus. My first step in completing this project was to create a wireframe to determine the order of information appearing on the page.
Mockups
After the wire-framing was complete, I moved into the mockups stage, where I gathered all of the content for the site (from the client, and from the restaurant’s Instagram page) and mocked up how I wanted the site to look.
The Final Product
I used HTML to build out the new Soul Cafe website from scratch, in Visual Studio Code. After the site build was complete, I applied all of the styles and organization in accordance with their new branding, using CSS, and a small amount of JavaScript for a few things, such as the hero image carousel. The new website is a single page, responsive design that includes all of the necessary information people seek to find on a restaurant’s website.
